    KIOSKO 004 reúne una selección de publicaciones relacionadas con diseño modular, uniones, el mundo rural, low-tech, y autosuficiencia.

    La cuarta edición de KIOSKO 004, organizado por Tambourine, presenta una exposición de publicaciones de artistas y editoriales independientes de España y más allá. En colaboración con artistas y diseñadores, se construye una estructura de exhibición única para mostrar estas obras. Esta iniciativa busca fusionar el diseño con la esfera editorial, desafiando los formatos tradicionales de interacción con los libros.

    KIOSKO 004 brings together a selection of publications related to modular design, joinery, the rural world, low-tech, and self-sufficiency.

    The fourth edition of KIOSKO 004, organized by Tambourine, presents an exhibition of publication of artists and independent editorials from Spain and beyond. In collaboration with artists and designers, an unique exhibition structure is created to showcase these artworks.
    This initiative aims to fuse design and the editorial sphere, challenging traditional formats of interaction with books.

  • Open Showroom at Ivorypress

    This week at #Ivorypress we have an special programme of events on the occasion of #ArcoMadrid.

    Today at 6 p.m. we are hosting an Open Showroom of Artists’ Books with Carmen Araujo and a guided tour.

    This Thursday at 4 p.m., we will host a guided tour of the Ivorypress Artists’ Book Collection and the exhibition ‘New York’ by David Jiménez and on Friday at 9:30 a.m. we will have a breakfast with the presence of the Spanish photographer.

  • Las previsiones humanas

    “Las previsiones humanas” aparece como referencia en la definición de “hecho fortuito”. Desde ahí, esta frase sirve para nombrar una serie de sucesos inesperados que llevaron a Blanca Sotos Vidal y a mí a organizar una exposición de archivos en marcablanca (Calle de las Peñuelas, 33, 28005 Madrid).

    La exposición nació de una contingencia y sirvió como punto de activación en torno a un archivo que comenzó en Caracas, pasó por Nueva York y, tras recorrer distintos territorios, llegó a Madrid.

    Marcamos unas fechas concretas, y por primera vez en diez años tuve la oportunidad de compartir físicamente este archivo con personas que he ido conociendo a lo largo del tiempo, y con otras nuevas a raíz de esta acción.

    El archivo, de acceso público, no tiene fecha de cierre y opera bajo una de mis premisas favoritas: la asincronicidad. Mientras marcablanca exista y su fondo siga siendo de libre acceso, este archivo estará disponible para quien desee consultarlo.

    Las previsiones humanas appears in definitions of the term “fortuitous event.” The phrase became a frame for a series of unexpected events that led Blanca Sotos Vidal and me to organize an archival exhibition at marcablanca (Calle de las Peñuelas, 33, 28005 Madrid).

    Born out of contingency, the exhibition activated and created new situations around an archive that originated in Caracas, lived in New York, and after moving through several territories, found a home in Madrid.

    We set dates, and for the first time in ten years, I was able to share this archive in person—with people I’ve met over time and others I encountered through this action.

    The archive is public, has no closing date, and operates under one of my favorite principles: asynchronicity. As long as marcablanca exists and its holdings remain open, this archive will be available to anyone who wishes to explore it.
